Attachments Gallery

I will love to see Google offer in the Gmail labs a visual way to browse, search and present email attachments by document types, received/sent dates and senders.

I used Xoopit for Gmail a while ago and found it very useful, the service indexes my gmail accounts for media files (videos and photos), Microsoft Office documents or other files and presents them in a gallery view right inside my gmail.

The service was aquired by Yahoo and shut down for Gmail users in July 2009. I will love a similar service come back to gmail via labs or third party apps.
